Brief Job Description:


  • Experienced Quality Engineer with a background in manufacturing Aerospace quality parts


Requirements include but are not limited to:


  • Experience as leader of 8D, A3 or other problem solving methodology
  • Good understanding of the ISO and AS9100 requirements
  • Knowledge of Quality Management Systems metrics and standards
  • Experience with customer/supplier interaction required
  • Proficient in reading and interpreting blueprints with excellent grasp of GD & T
  • Strong oral and written communication skills
  • General machining knowledge
  • Strong analytical and problem solving skills
  • Knowledge of manufacturing support processes and systems (i.e. inspection, gauging, SPC, data collection, records & reporting, first article approvals).
  • Proficiency of the MS Office Suite with good writing skills


Responsibilities include but are not limited to:


  • Obtain DSQR status for customers as directed.  Perform duties as DSQR, including maintaining access to customers' electronic portals
  • Prepare First Article Inspection packages per AS9100 and customer specifications
  • Support non-conformance reduction activities
  • Participates in determining root cause of defects and assists in the corrective action process
  • Prepare customer MRB's and review corrective actions prior to submitting to customer
  • Internal and external audits
  • Supplier source inspection (first piece inspection at vendors)
  • Prepare and block out customer drawings for final inspection
  • Investigate customer complaints
  • Disposition of internal and external rejection notices
